Tuesday, February 25, 5:30 PM Before we enter the season of LENT, the most somber time of the church year, we have an opportunity to ‘kick up ourheels’ with an evening of Fine Food and Entertainment on Tuesday, February 25- Shrove Tuesday.  In a tradition dating back to the 15th century Shrove Tuesday was the last day of merrymaking before Ash Wednesday and Lent. This year Mardi Gras stars and constellations are all converging to present Good music, Good food and a Good time for you and your family, friends and guests.    MENU –  Pancakes, Waffles, Sausage, Chicken Waldorf Salad and Fruit. MUSIC – Our professional soloists of the choir will take off their Sunday vestments, ‘kick up  their heels’ and ‘cut loose’ singing romantic ballads and tunes from Broadway, accompanied  by Gordon Turk at the piano.   The Fr. Green Room will be decked out in Mardi Gras fashion, and the mood will be relaxed, upbeat and informal, so come and Eat and Enjoy the dinner-theater Entertainment. Serving begins at 5:30 pm and the entertainment will be between 6 and 7, as you eat! There is no charge for dinner or entertainment, but donations for food expenses will be gratefully accepted.   FAMILY, FRIENDS, FOOD and FUN for MARDI GRAS…and ”We’ve got rhythm, so who could ask for anything more!” Please indicate your planned attendance on the sign-up sheet on the Parish Hall bulletin board, by Saturday, February 22..
