UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY for
ADULT & YOUTH
SPIRITUAL FORMATION
TODAY, MAY 24, DURING COFFEE HOUR “STUMP THE PRIEST”
Yes, you read that correctly, but please don’t get carried away by Googling odd questions. We are beginning a series of classes on heaven and questions about the concept of heaven are especially welcome. However, Fr. Conor is open to any questions about our faith that you may have. There will be NO 9:00am class this week. “Stump the Priest” will take place during coffee hour. If you are not traveling this weekend, please join us for what’s sure to be a fascinating class!
Also Coming Up:
On May 31, Erlis Wickersham will lead a discussion of the concept of heaven as found in passages of Scripture, especially the book of Revelation.
On June 14, Twila Garletts will lead discussion of the concept of heaven from C.S. Lewis’ book, The Great Divorce.
On June 21, Fr. Conor will lead discussion of the concept of heaven from N.T. Wright’s book, Surprised by Hope. Fr. Conor may be joined by a couple other members of our congregation who also have studied the book.
On June 28, Fr. Conor will lead discussion, along with the other leaders of the concept of heaven classes, in a wrap-up of this topic.
On July 12 and July 26, Erlis will lead discussion about Unexpected Appearances of the Holy Spirit both in the Bible and attendees’ own personal experiences of the Holy Spirit.
There will be no class on July 19 since Erlis will be away.
Our Spiritual Formation classes take a summer break in August and will return in the fall with interesting new topics for classes and a field trip or two. Stay tuned!
