outreach

St. Mary's Little Free Pantry
Have some: leave some. Need some: take some. This amazing ministry has become a self-sustaining community outreach. While the people of St. Mary's oversee and maintain our LFP, the community of Wayne has truly adopted us and keep us stocked throughout the year. Be it monthly Radnor Elementary School Food Drives, scouts having community drives or just individuals helping out, we are feeding our hungry.

Good Works
Good Works is a home repair project out of Chester County, PA. St. Mary’s is proud to support their mission of, “Transforming lives by repairing homes for low-income families and sharing the hope found in Jesus Christ.” Here we get to stay local and use our
passion for home repair to help those in need in our own community.
Embrace the spirit of helping others through St. Mary’s partnership with Good Works. Our April 12th , 2025 home repair day was a meaningful success, as volunteers came together to assist multiple families in the Spring City, PA area—bringing real change and
renewed hope. Stay tuned for details on upcoming opportunities to serve.
Whether you're an expert with a hammer or picking one up for the first time, all skill levels are
welcome! To get involved, contact Scott Scheidt.

Unity in the Community
St. Mary’s participates in the 7th Annual, Unity In Our Community Block Party on Highland Avenue in Wayne, PA.
Join us as we set up a tent to say hello to neighbors, donate bookbags for the upcoming school year and enjoy good food and fun. This event is FREE and provides an opportunity for the entire community to join together to celebrate the end of summer.

Water is Life Kenya
St. Mary’s is proud to support Water Is Life Kenya, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing clean water, education, and economic opportunities in rural Kenyan communities. Each year, we welcome a representative to speak with our congregation and share the life-changing impact of this work. Our parishioners contribute generously, helping to fund the construction of wells and support sustainable development efforts.
Together, we’re part of a mission that brings health, hope, and transformation to families in need.
Be on the lookout for details surrounding our Sunday, October 12th, 2025 Water Is Life Kenya event, following the 10AM service!

White Gifts & Christmas Meal Bags
Each Christmas the people of St. Mary's purchase and wrap in white paper Christmas gifts for St. Mary's in Chester County to distribute to those in need throughout the year. We also fill bags of food for families of St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church in Philadelphia to enhance their Christmas meal.

Home Works (Peru)
This is an extension of our relationship with Home Works and is for our college aged kids. They participate in a yearly Mission Trip to Peru and build up to 6 house in a week. Picture above is the latest home they built.

Refugee Resettlement
In 2016 a few parishioners took the lead role in organizing our community to support refugee families. In a truly ecumenical endeavor and working with Bethany Refuge Resettlement, our goal is not to take care of every need of a family but rather give them the skills to survive in this foreign culture in which they find themselves. Our goal was for each family to be independent within a year or two.
