Spiritual Formation October 19th 2025 Special Guests Christian and Viola Terwieschon Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Christian and Viola Terwiesch were born and raised in Germany, have lived in France, been in the United States for many years, and speak all three languages fluently. Christian is a professor of business, systems analytics, and economics at Penn's Wharton School prestigious Executive MBA program. Viola, while equally intellectual, spends most of her time helping and supporting others, through the church and in other ways, especially German scholars and immigrants in the US.

Christian and Viola have been committed Christians all their lives and are members of the Ardmore Presbyterian Church, where they have, and are, serving on Session and as Deacon. Their three sons were raised in the church and in Gary Garlett's choir programs. But they do have an Episcopalian connection - Christian teaches each Jan. - March in San Francisco, and they attend an Episcopal church while there. Their knowledge of the German church and its history, including Dietrich Bonhoeffer and his times, is vast. We at St. Mary's are grateful they are spending time with us on Sunday, October 19th.
