Our Thrift Shop, Noah's Ark, is a very substantial contributor to the mission of St. Mary's. Every year the Thrift Shop enables St. Mary's to contribute to various other charities that St. Mary's feels align with its mission. The Thrift Shop opens for the Fall season on September 9th. As we begin the new school year, St. Mary’s is celebrating National Breakfast Month in September by helping to stock our Little Free Pantry with breakfast favorites! A nutritious breakfast can be an important start to the school day, and throughout September, we invite donations of shelf-stable breakfast items, including cereal, oatmeal, breakfast bars, fruit cups, and more. Every Sunday our vases on both the High Altar and the Lady Chapel Altar are filled with lovely flowers in memory of, or in thanksgiving for, loved ones. We also have a sanctuary candle that burns by the Ambry to remind us of our Lord’s presence in the Blessed Sacrament, and this may also be given in memory of or in thanksgiving for loved ones. We welcome our Guest Priest The Rev. Paul DeWitt Reid The Rev. Paul DeWitt Reid is recently retired as Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Elkins Park. He was educated at Penn State and at University of Edinburgh in Scotland and received his Master of Divinity degree with honors from Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He was ordained a Priest at St. Peter’s Church in the Great Valley in 2009. Prior to that he had a twenty-year career in Information Technology
